Why am I doing this?

Throughout the years since my sighting I have told a handful of people about it.  It's not the kind of thing you volunteer when you first meet someone.  Most people can't handle it.  You might as well tell them you had lunch with Bigfoot or took a ride on Nessie's back.  Telling an acquaintance about your UFO sighting can cause them to walk away and avoid you because obviously you're crazy, right?  Especially if you go into detail - although it's the details which can convince someone so it's important to illustrate them.

Most of the time when I tell people my story they say they believe that I believe what I saw.  They don't say that they do, themselves.  It's condescending, though I'm sure most people don't intend it to be that way.  They're trying their best to play along with something they're having difficulty processing.  My wife believes me.  But then she had her own experience.  More on that in a future post.  A good friend of mine says he believes me now, although I think he was skeptical for many years.  It seems to have taken a sighting by his own mother to turn him on to the idea that maybe there's something to this.

Several times, when I would be hanging out with this same friend, he would ask me why I was just sitting on this information.  If it was really true, why wasn't I shouting it from the rooftops?  The simple answer is because people who do that are labeled as psychos.  Maybe some of those amongst us are a little wacky.  I don't want to be associated with that.  I have a business to run.  I have kids who have to face other kids in school.  I couldn't do that to them.

I believe

The vast majority of us, though, are not out of our minds.  We're highly functioning, successful, respected members of the community, just like everyone else.  We just happened to have experienced something extraordinary which sounds incredible.  I'm hoping that this blog and my upcoming Podcast and YouTube channel will help dispel that mindset and show the world that this is real and it's happening to a lot of regular people.

Still, my friend kept saying that if it was him he would change everything about his life.  He would make it his cause to take action.  That resonated with me.  I can't say it set the dominoes falling.  That started when I got a response from Lue Elizondo.  But it was on my mind when my wife sent me the link to the New York Times article on Lue.

So here I am, several months later, with a blog, preparing to launch a Podcast and YouTube channel.  I never imagined I would do this.  But it seems like a fait accompli at this point.

Things are progressing quickly.  I now have my Twitter and Instagram accounts re-purposed for the project and I created a new public Facebook page - it's so new I can't even choose an address for it.  I'll post it when it's available.  Please Like the page so I can give it a name.  And link to the other social media for the latest info on project updates and news on sightings.  I've got the blog and it's gaining traction.  I began scheduling interviews yesterday so I can begin production in mid-October.  I still haven't settled on a hosting platform but there's time for that.  I'm getting together with couple friends who are doing Podcasts, to share notes.  In the meantime I need to start doing the interviews.

If you have seen an alien spaceship or any type of unidentified flying object (UFO) contact me using the Contact form on this page or call me at 401-315-9102 between 6:00am and 7:00am Eastern USA (New York) time, any weekday.

You may remain anonymous if you want.  I will not ridicule you or try to tell you why you are wrong.  I get it, I saw one too.
