Identified Flying Object

It is the end of Week 1.  It is hard to believe how quickly things have begun moving.  This is really happening.

I got an update from the documentary's associate producer that they are confident I will be included in the production they are working on.  We have a tentative date scheduled to do the shoot, which is exciting.  Nothing is yet confirmed but I have a lot more confidence in this than I did at the start of the week.  I am not going to go into detail on what that is all about until I get the go-ahead from the producers because I do not want to spoil the surprise.  They have not asked me to sign an non-disclosure agreement (NDA) but I think it is the right thing to keep it under wraps for now.  Suffice to say, the story of my sighting may be televised.  Keep your fingers crossed for me.  I will post more details as things develop.

When I put up the first post, this past Monday, I was not sure I would have much to write about.  The funny thing is the more I have written, the more things I have thought of.  Upcoming posts will include more information on my own sighting, the video production I may be featured in, others who are part of the story of my sighting, updates on the Podcast / YouTube (PodTube?) show I am putting together, and news on UFO sightings.

Identified Flying Object

I want to wrap up this week with a question to my readers, who as of this date already number several dozen - Thank you!  Keep spreading the word - I do not like the term UFO to describe something that is not "Unidentified".  To me, a UFO or Unidentified Flying Object, is some strange lights in the sky or a distant object which is too far away to discern.  And that is fine.  If it can not be identified, call it a UFO.  There is nothing wrong with that term if that is what you saw - something you can not quite put your finger on.  But what I saw was not "unidentified".  I saw an alien spaceship.  It was up close and I could clearly see the entire ship.  It was built with technology that does not yet exist on our planet.  What do you call that?

Some folks recently, have taken to using the term UAP or Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon.  I think they are trying to distance themselves from the term UFO because it is so colloquial and may have developed a negative connotation.  UAP sounds more scientific, more official.  (Although, at one time, UFO was the more respectable term with the military.)  Still UAP has that word "unidentified".  Not for me.

The military also uses AAV or Anomalous Aerial Vehicle and UAS or Unidentified Aerial System.  Meh.  The military needs an acronym for everything.  Most of them are terrible.  For example (and there are many) when I was in the Army we used to drive "Cut-Vees" which was a bastardization of "CUCV" which stood for Commercial Utility Cargo Vehicle.  It was a Chevy Blazer!  We could have just called them Blazers.  I never understood that.  When it comes to UFOs let us come up with something better.  What do you call a "UFO" which you have clearly identified as an alien spaceship?  An Identified Flying Object, IFO?  Or how about Identified Alien Spaceship, IAS?  Clearly Identified Alien Spaceship I Know What I Saw, CIASIKWIS?  Sounds like another military acronym.  We need something catchier than that.

Please post your ideas in the comments below and on the Facebook page.  And don't forget to click Like on the page and share this blog.

Why am I doing this?

Throughout the years since my sighting I have told a handful of people about it.  It's not the kind of thing you volunteer when you first meet someone.  Most people can not handle it.  You might as well tell them you had lunch with Bigfoot or took a ride on Nessie's back.  Telling an acquaintance about your UFO sighting can cause them to walk away and avoid you because obviously you are crazy, right?  Especially if you go into detail - although it is the details which can convince someone so it is important to illustrate them.

Most of the time when I tell people my story they say they believe that I believe what I saw.  They do not say that they do, themselves.  It is condescending, though I am sure most people do not intend it to be that way.  They are trying their best to play along with something they are having difficulty processing.  My wife believes me.  But then she had her own experience.  More on that in a future post.  A good friend of mine says he believes me now, although I think he was skeptical for many years.  It seems to have taken a sighting by his own mother to turn him on to the idea that maybe there is something to this.

Several times, when I would be hanging out with this same friend, he would ask me why I was just sitting on this information.  If it was really true, why was not I shouting it from the rooftops?  The simple answer is because people who do that are labeled as psychos.  Maybe some of those amongst us are a little wacky.  I don't want to be associated with that.  I have a business to run.  I have kids who have to face other kids in school.  I could not do that to them.

I Believe

The vast majority of us, though, are not out of our minds.  We are highly functioning, successful, respected members of the community, just like everyone else.  We just happened to have experienced something extraordinary which sounds incredible.  I am hoping that this blog and my upcoming Podcast and YouTube channel will help dispel that mindset and show the world that this is real and it's happening to a lot of regular people.

Still, my friend kept saying that if it was him he would change everything about his life.  He would make it his cause to take action.  That resonated with me.  I can not say it set the dominoes falling.  That started when I got a response from Lue Elizondo.  But it was on my mind when my wife sent me the link to the New York Times article on Lue.

So here I am, several months later, with a blog, preparing to launch a Podcast and YouTube channel.  I never imagined I would do this.  But it seems like a fait accompli at this point.

Things are progressing quickly.  I now have my Twitter and Instagram accounts re-purposed for the project and I created a new public Facebook page - it is so new I can not even choose an address for it.  I will post it when it is available.  Please Like the page so I can give it a name.  And link to the other social media for the latest info on project updates and news on sightings.  I have got the blog and it is gaining traction.  I began scheduling interviews yesterday so I can begin production in mid-October.  I still have not settled on a hosting platform but there is time for that.  I am getting together with couple friends who are doing Podcasts, to share notes.  In the meantime I need to start doing the interviews.

I'm not Steven Greer

As I move forward with this project two things have become clear to me from the get-go.  One is I can already see this project will snowball quickly.  My first post had a dozen hits in less than one day.  I only told one person about it.  This is going to be good.

The second thing is, there is a community out there that I am now being exposed to.  There are many who believe in what I believe in.  Maybe it's because they've seen something too.  Or maybe it is because they did the math and they know it is statistically probable that there is other life out there, lots of it and it is also highly likely that some of this life has the ability to move around the universe in ways we cannot yet understand.  Whatever it is, I have enjoyed meeting some new people and am looking forward to meeting others and to sharing information.

Steven Greer

In a week's time I heard the name Steven Greer twice, along with his movie Sirius Disclosure.  I decided to watch the movie and see what it was all about.  This isn't a movie review and I am not bashing anyone.  It is a brief commentary on how Mr. Greer and I differ and what you will and will not find on my show.

So I will start with, I think what Greer is doing is great.  A lot of people probably think he is a wack-job, as many of my friends may soon begin thinking about me.  C'est la vie.  Life is too short to stress out over haters.  Greer believes in a cause and he is doing what he can to chase down the truth and get it out to the public.  I admire that.

I applaud whatever Greer and CSETI can accomplish in the way of advancing the public's knowledge about aliens and their observations of us on Earth.  But I am wary of conspiracy theories.  My stomach churns when I hear some of these theories because many (perhaps not all) simply are not true.  For example, I have heard several times over the past few years that some people do not believe the Sandy Hook massacre happened.  I had an employee whose daughter worked in that school.  I had a vendor whose daughter was a student there.  I can name the company which won the contract to demolish the school after nobody wanted to return to it.  I assure you that Sandy Hook was real and there can be zero debate on the subject.

I am not linking Greer to this conspiracy theory in any way.  I bring up that one example because it is irrefutable and yet it gets mentioned by some of the same people who promote any of the other myriad of conspiracy theories floating around out there.  It's because of this that I cannot buy into everything Steven Greer is doing.  Take out the conspiracies and I am already a big fan of his, even though I just heard about him about a week ago.

So you will not be hearing conspiracy theories promoted on my show.  Nor do I plan to make a practice of debunking them because the whole spirit of my show is belief in what my guests have to say and you are free to believe in what you want to believe in.  But I will not be focusing on any of that.

My focus will be on first-hand accounts of sightings, along with some of my own commentary which will be based on science more than axiom, wherever possible.  That is all I want to talk about.  Do you believe you saw something from out of this world?  So did I!  I want to hear your story.  I will believe you.  Talk to me.

Watch this blog for info on the upcoming Podcasts and YouTube channel posts.  And please share my blog with your friends and associates who have expressed interest in UFOs and Aliens.

15 Minutes

At the end of my call with Lue Elizondo on July 16th he said I would get a call from someone named [REDACTED].  He did not explain who [REDACTED] was, just that it would be a follow up call.  She reached out about a week later and it turns out that [REDACTED] is kind of a big deal.  She is a highly-regarded film maker and was also very interested in my story.  We have had many discussion on the details of the story, location, time, and other witnesses.

This got me very excited about, not only getting the word out there about what happened to me, but also about what comes after that.  If I am featured in this production I will have 15 minutes of fame.  It got me thinking, should I hope that it goes by quickly and things return to normal for me as soon as possible?  Or should I leverage this opportunity as a springboard and do something with it?

Throughout my career I have tried to help other people, whenever possible.  I have devoted the past dozen years to helping people find jobs and recently I have been teaching college courses to kids who need an extra hand working their way through the system.  Many of them are the first people in their family to go to college.  Maybe this new development is an opportunity to help a different group of people in a different way.

Surely, there are many other people who have seen an alien spaceship.  I have always thought, it cannot be just me.  I am one insignificant person.  Why was I singled out?  With all the billions of people on this planet there must be someone else who has seen something like I did.  There must be thousands.  Maybe millions.

I want to speak with them.

I want to reach out and find others like me who have seen something - not something they cannot explain, something they know darned well what they saw and they want to talk to someone about it.  But with this kind of thing you cannot talk to just anyone.  It is like a soldier returning from war.  Most will not volunteer the gory details to those who were not there.  It is too painful.  New Yorkers who saw the Twin Towers fall with the naked eye may feel the same when questioned about their experience by out-of-towners - I did, for years.  But these same people will speak more freely with those who have had similar experiences.  That is how I can help.

I have never seen combat but I have seen an alien spaceship.  It was not a UFO, or an Unidentified Flying Object.  It was a spaceship from another planet.  It was enormous.  It was 100-200 yards away from me.  I saw it clear as day, in bright moonlight.

I get it.

I saw one too.

I want to talk to others who have had their own experience.  I want to provide a forum for them to get the word out.  I want to interview them.  Soon I will announce the details of where and when to catch that.  It should debut in mid-to-late-October.  For now, keep an eye on this blog and send its link to your friends.

Back to the Producer, we may have hit a snag and I may not be included in the production she is working on, now.  I will post an update when I find out more.  But either way, the ball is rolling on my own project and I am pushing forward, full steam. I have been sitting on this for over 25 years.  It is time I did something about it.

Post One

I am finally putting up my first post.  I have spent the past couple weeks researching Podcast hosting, audio and video production, and now a blog host.  I decided to keep it simple and just use Blogger for now.  I can upgrade to something else as thing progress.

I have my first four interviewees lined up and I think I have a fifth in the hopper too.  I am ready to schedule the interviews.  One of the interviewees texted me last night asking when we're going to get rolling so that was the impetus to put up this blog.

The real trigger behind all this, though, was Lue Elizondo, vis-à-vis my wife.  A couple months back Mrs. M. texted me a link to the New York Times article on Lue.  After years of posting my story on UFO sites like MUFON and telling friends and family about my sighting I thought, finally, here's someone who can do something with my info.  Maybe now this thing will finally get some traction.  I emailed Lue through the To The Stars Academy website.

Several weeks went by and I heard nothing in response.  I thought my message had fallen into yet another black hole, as it had for many years.  Then on July 16th I was surprised and delighted to get an email from Lue.  He said,

Greetings Mr. Marceau,
My name is Luis “Lue” Elizondo. I left a voicemail for you earlier. At a time of your convenience, I would love an opportunity to discuss with you your experience in Canada when you were with the U.S. Army.  I have a little experience in this area and would like to learn more details about your observations.
Please feel free to contact me directly at [REDACTED] Best Regards, Lue

I replied back and soon we spoke on the phone.  Lue was very interested in the details of my sighting.  He told me that this kind of thing was more prevalent than most people realized and that like me, many of the servicemen and women who had seen something had concerns about their reputations.  They had be ridiculed and on occasion even punished for coming forward.  He assured me this would not happen with him.

So that is what got the ball rolling on this project.  I will write more about it in my next post.
